Parents and family members can access a comprehensive Parent/Family Online Orientation through Canvas (university's learning management system) as well as attend In-Person Orientation with their student.

Parents and family members of first-year and transfer students who have paid or deferred the enrollment deposit receive an email November 1 with Online Orientation access details if their email address was included on the student's application for Admission to the university.

This orientation is public and does not require you to log in.

Online Orientation consists of four modules that include information about academic success, Husker life, paying for college and next steps. For your convenience, the orientation content is available on-demand and can be completed at any time. Completing all four modules in one sitting takes about 1.5 hours, but users are able to log out of the orientation and log in as needed. Users can access pages of interest by visiting the "Modules" tab in the course navigation. While the platform is accessible on smartphones and other devices, use a computer for the best experience.
