The mission of New Student Enrollment is to provide comprehensive new student programs. These programs will assist all new students in their transition to the institution, expose new students to the educational opportunities within UNL, orient new students into the academic and co-curricular life of the institution, assist parents of new students in their understanding of the UNL environment and services, and provide current students with leadership opportunities.
Jenni is originally from DeWitt, Iowa. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa where she was a double major in communication studies and Health and sports studies. She then received her master's degree in educational administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Prior to becoming the Assistant Director in New Student Enrollment she served as an academic advisor in the College of Arts & Sciences at Nebraska for five years.
Teresa is from Malcolm, NE, and has a bachelor's degree in Spanish and journalism and a master's in higher education administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Teresa manages pre-arrival support, airport welcome, orientation and social programs for international undergraduates. Before joining NSE's staff, Teresa taught math, natural sciences, English and social studies in English in the bilingual section of a public middle/high school in Extremadura, Spain. Teresa's professional interests lie in international program development and cultural competence research.
Associate Director for Enrollment Management
Richard is from Lanett, AL, and has a bachelor’s degree in geography from Auburn University and a master’s degree in geography from Ohio University. After earning his master’s degree, he launched his career in higher education as a lecturer of geography at Auburn University. Through faculty recruitment responsibilities, he realized his true passion for higher education existed outside of the classroom. Prior to joining Nebraska, he held a variety of positions within Admissions and Enrollment Management where he blended his geographical roots with higher education best practices. Now with NSE, Richard acts as a liaison to cross-campus/divisional partners providing insight regarding data analytics to ensure the best and most valuable NSE experience for our incoming students.
Rachel grew up in Williamsburg, Iowa. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Central College in Pella, IA, and continued on to obtain a Master of Science in College Student Affairs from Eastern Illinois University. It was during these educational experiences in which Rachel discovered her personal and professional commitment to international education, engagement and student retention, which continues to strengthen in her role at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Originally from Waco, Texas, Julia DeLaRosa studied secondary Spanish education at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, graduating in May of 2015. Upon graduation, she taught English with a Fulbright grant at the Federal University of Sao Joao del-Rei in Minas Gerais, Brazil, where she deepened her interest in working with college students of international backgrounds. She is currently undergoing coursework for a master’s in educational administration (student affairs) with hopes of continuing work with international programming upon graduation.
Student Staff: Allocations Coordinator
Allie Carlini is a senior studying community heath and wellness from Grand Island, Nebraska. This is Allie’s third year being involved in New Student Enrollment. She served as an orientation leader in 2017, and then progressed to work as a student staff member. Allie’s involvements on campus include being a Resident Assistant for University Housing, a member of the Pi Alpha Chi sorority, the Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network and the Newman Center.
Student Staff: Resolutions Specialist
Celine Haynes is a senior double majoring in advertising and public relations and broadcast journalism production with a minor in film studies. She is from Omaha, Nebraska. Celine served as an orientation leader in 2018, and now this is her second year serving as a resolutions specialist. One of Celine’s passions is all forms of poetry, which is why she is involved in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Slam Poetry team as vice president. She also loves videography and photography so much that you will almost always find her carrying around a camera everywhere she goes.
Student Staff: Course Allocator/Mail-in Coordinator
Luke Jarecke is a junior from Columbus, NE currently studying biochemistry and nutrition science, and hopes to attend medical school after he graduates. This is Luke's second year working with the New Student Enrollment team. Last year, in the summer of 2019, he served as an Orientation Leader, and has now returned as a member of student staff. Luke is also involved with Beta Theta Pi fraternity, the College of Education and Human Sciences student advisory board, and LAUNCH Leadership, among other organizations.
Student Staff: Communications/Social Media Coordinator
Jared is a junior studying political science and journalism with a minor in history from Beloit, Kansas. This is Jared's second year with NSE, having served as an Orientation Leader in 2019. On campus, he serves as internal vice president of the student government association and is an active member of the University Honors Program. Jared plans to attend law school after finishing his undergraduate studies.
Student Staff: Big Red Welcome/Take a Parent to Lunch Coordinator
Clare Morehouse is a junior studying nutrition and exercise health science from Lincoln, Nebraska. This is her second year with New Student Enrollment. Clare previously served as an orientation leader during the 2019 summer and will be working as a member of student staff this year. Some of her involvements include Big Red Singers, Gamma Phi Beta, and the Pre-Health Peer Mentor Program in the Explore Center. Clare works at Complete Physical Therapy as a PT-tech and hopes to attend physical therapy school.
Student Staff: Resolutions Specialist
Scott Moser is a senior mechanical engineering major from Clearwater, NE. This is Scott's second year with New Student Enrollment; he served as an orientation leader in 2019 and will be a resolutions specialist this year. Scott is involved with the Newman Center on campus and is acting as the internal vice president on the student executive board. He has also spent two years as a teaching assistant for ENGR 100, which focuses on interpersonal skills and leadership.
Student Staff: Logistics/Event Planning
Evan is a senior math education major from Denver, Colorado. This is Evan's second year with New Student Enrollment, having served as an Orientation Leader in 2019. Other than NSE, Evan is actively involved in the University Honors Program where he helps run their peer mentoring program.
