Organization Skills

College is a busy time and there will be some days where the list of things to get done seems endless. Following these tips can help reduce the stress of chaos by keeping you organized.

  • Use a planner, they are inexpensive and can be fun to use.
  • Keep your syllabi in an accessible place. Don't be caught not knowing what is due that day.
  • Keep different classes in different folders or sections of your notebook.
  • Make an excel spreadsheet of the classes that you have, it will make it easier to see immediately when you are and are not busy. Use those high school computing skills.
  • Keep a calendar in your room marked with exam dates and other things you don't want to remember.
